Claymills august Steam in

The sun was shinning and it was set to be another great steam weekend at Claymills!
And of course baby Neon was there! but he wasnt aloan for long!
We had a visit from a group of steam punks, they were ACE! They brought there own picnic.... with cake stand, china cups and BUNTING!! these guys know how to live!
Jayne was making all sorts of beautiful creations in modrock and common house hold objects! They made a Bi plane, a tank, a Mike and aliens!
So I got all creative too and made a mouse with Paul the wood turner!

Mines the fat one! : )

He can even float! almost!
So to conclude a very creative and fun weekend. everyone was full of cake and covered in soot, even teddy! well he had been riding the traction engine around all weekend! I cant wait until the next one! : )

Cromford steam fair!!! 6-7 August

Sooo much fun!! had a great time! got to see some great things and yes I spent most of the time drooling over the traction engines!!! : )
And then a very strange thing occured......... I saw Fred dibnah!!!! no really I did! then i had a double take ! and took a pic coz no1 would believe me! it even looked just like his traction engine!!!!
I waved and everything!!!! : )
I soooo cant wait until next year!!!!!!!!! : )

Craft and sculpture Fair at kedleston hall, with Guild of Blacksmiths!!

A huge tent! all to myself! it was a good job I had been running around all week trying to sort out a super super new display! that meant, props, table cloths, colour coding and even shells hand picked from the sea side!!! : )
There was even a competition between our Blacksmiths, and I came secont to last : ( well I liked it and at least I wasnt last! : )
Hopefuly I will get to meet they guys again next year, they were a great bunch! : )

Kedleston hall craft and garden, 23-24 July

Another beutiful day in the National Trust site of Kedleston hall! fun was had by all the famils, with a selection of british craftspeople and games to play. I even managed to win a frisbey playing hook a duck! this will come in handy when I go to the beach tomorow! cant wait to cool off!!

Custard takes on 30 business owners!!! - 6th July

The Enterprise center in Derby played host to my presentation about PR within my business given to other business owners! I was so please it went so well and I got a lot of positive feedback, here are a few,

Work now avalible at BAD, Bakewell art gallery!

I am really excited about this one! : ) beautiful place and lots of people viewing my beautiful work! I hope Bakewell is ready for Forever Forged!

Mercia Marin Festival

Another blissfully hot day and more demonstrations! I cooked up some great interest in the old skill : ) and also the beer tent was open after with a great live band, luckily there are no photos of this! : )

Silk Mill, demonstrations Derby

A very wet Saturday and a very hot Sunday 25-26 June
The Silk Mill was open to collect peoples views about council cuts to close the museum. They had a great reception and the craft fair was a great success. The volunteers at the museum have to be the happiest and most positive people I have ever known ! So the silk Mill is in good hands! and I cant wait until I can go back!
